Overview

The Guilford-Zimmerman Temperament Survey provides a nonclinical description of an individual's personality characteristics for use in career planning, counseling, and research.

The GZTS inventory is used by organizational psychologists, personnel professionals, clinical psychologists, and counseling professionals in mental health facilities, businesses, and educational settings to help:

  • Measure attributes related to personality and temperament thatmight help predict successful performance in various occupations.
  • Identify students who may have trouble adjusting to school andthe types of problems that may occur.
  • Assess temperamental trends that may be the source of problemsand conflicts in marriage or other relationships.
  • Provide objective personality information to complement otherdata that may assist with personnel selection, placement, and development.

Norms for the GZTS instrument are based on representative samples ofhigh school students, college students, and adults in various occupational settings.

Provides a narrative interpretation of test scores, including a description of specific characteristics associated with low and high scores on each of the 10 scales. The report also provides a graph that presents C scores,raw scores, nearest T scores, and centile rankings.
